Tier One: Proofreading
Proofreading services are appropriate when your dissertation, thesis, or article has already undergone initial revisions, and is almost ready for submission to your committee or your chosen journal. When you purchase Proofreading, an experienced professor will carefully read your dissertation, thesis, or article line-by-line, identifying errors in grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Tier Two: Proofreading and Style Editing
Proofreading and style editing services are appropriate when you have a completed first draft and are ready to begin revising. When you purchase the Proofreading and Style Editing package, an experienced professor will carefully read your dissertation, thesis, or article line-by-line, identifying errors in grammar, punctuation, and spelling, as well as potential problems with style. The professor will highlight and make suggestions related to issues such as:
- Awkward sentence structure, including run-on sentences and fragments
- Excessive verbosity, or using too many words to convey an idea
- Inappropriate or ineffective word usage
- Pronoun shifting, such as switching from third person to first person
- Verb-tense disagreement
- Disorganization within paragraphs or sections
The Proofreading and Style Editing package allows clients to incorporate suggestions from the first review and resubmit their dissertation, thesis, or article for a second review at no additional charge. One conference is also included.
Tier Three: Proofreading, Style Editing, and Content Coaching
Our most comprehensive service includes everything in the Proofreading and Style Editing Package, and also grants you access to an experienced professor as a content coach. In a series of three conference appointments, your content coach can assist with questions related to your:
- Literature review
- Research questions
- Methodology
- Data Analysis
- Research Conclusions
The Proofreading, Style Editing, and Content Coaching package allows clients to submit incorporate suggestions from written feedback and conference appointments and submit their dissertation, thesis, or article for both a second review and a third review at no additional charge.
